- Participate in the development of modular components for the AI agent's functional modules:
- HMI (LLM-RAG chatbot),
- PERCEPTION (Automatic acquisition of data via a remote subscribed service),
- ACTUATION (abstraction layer to execute simulations, via Digital Twins, Digital Twins' surrogates or other downstream tools, in response to Reasonning and Planning directives and resource-aware invocation logic),
- LEARNING (Continuously update the AI agent's strategy, embedding space, and planning heuristics based on feedback from executed plans).
- Participate in ingestion pipelines implementation, vector store updates, and metadata handling.
- Participate in execution graph construction and result parsing.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Formulate and evaluate new ideas in a rigorous way.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers, on a daily basis., The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
- Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
- Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.

Requirements
- BSc or MSc, in Computer Science, Statistical Learning, AI, ML, Data Science, or related fields.
- Academic and project-based programming background.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- OO-Programming: Python (required), C++, *nix shell.
- ML/AI: PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, NumPy, Scikit-Learn.
- APIs and services: Model Context Protocol (MCP), FastAPI
- Tooling: Git, Docker / Apptainer, Linux, virtual environments.
- Testing (unit / integration / functional / API / performance): Pytest
- Documentation: Sphinx, FastAPI, Swagger...
- At least 1 year of experience in a software engineering / programming role or equivalent
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Exposure to HuggingFace, vector databases
- Agile development practices
- Scientific or data-intensive workflows.
- Multilingual environment experience.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken is essential. Spanish / Catalan (or the readiness to learn either one will be valued).
