Job description

  • Extend their core API stack to integrate Hyperliquid ecosystem projects and their diverse feature sets.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and fellow Backend Engineers to optimize routing, user flows, and system integrations.
  • Evaluate and propose new opportunities for feature extensions within the decentralized trading space.
  • Write robust, high-quality code with a focus on high-concurrency scalability and reliability for cross-chain trading.
  • Actively participate in system design, peer code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Hyperliquid Expertise: Strong familiarity with Hyperliquid's architecture, including builder codes (spot/perps), HIP-3, precompiles, and HyperEVM.
  • Technical Proficiency: Professional experience building scalable APIs and backend systems using TypeScript.
  • DeFi Fundamentals: A solid grasp of orderbook mechanics and experience working with programmatic trading features.
  • Backend Focus: A proven track record in backend engineering, specifically with EVM integration patterns.
  • Independence: The ability to drive complex integrations and propose new features with minimal oversight in a remote environment.
  • Multi-chain Knowledge: Experience with bridges and backend infrastructure supporting multi-chain environments is highly valued.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with Solana or Bitcoin protocols.
  • Experience in mobile backend development.
  • A portfolio of past projects or self-driven exploration within the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
