As part of the central System Architecture team within Business IT, you also work closely with peer architects, engaging in regular exchange to ensure a consistent, high-quality enterprise-wide architecture and jointly report to the Lead System & Enterprise Architecture, Markus., * Join a strategically critical transformation as we renew our core systems and expand our Global Data Platform - shaping the technological backbone of our future business.
- Take architectural ownership for the Information Management business unit
You won't just design systems - you will influence strategy, enable teams, and shape the long-term technical direction of a business-critical data platform.
What You'll Do
- Own the architecture: Shape the architectural direction of the Information Management domain, ensuring scalable, resilient, secure and future-proof solutions.
- Design modern, cloud-native systems: Architect data-driven platforms with a strong focus on AWS, serverless patterns, modularity, and maintainability.
- Align business and technology: Translate strategic objectives into actionable solution designs and architectural blueprints that engineering teams can execute with confidence.
- Drive architectural consistency: Work closely with fellow System Architects to maintain coherence across business units and contribute to enterprise-wide standards.
- Enable and mentor: Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to engineers, product stakeholders and leadership. Coach teams on best practices, architectural patterns and technical decision-making.
- Balance impact and pragmatism: Make thoughtful trade-offs between scalability, performance, security, cost and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge with AWS, including designing of serverless systems.
- Solid experience in a System Architect or Solution Architect role.
- Strong consulting skills, with the ability to guide stakeholders and development teams effectively.
- Hands-on experience with data-driven architectures such as data mesh, lakehouse architectures, and metadata management.
- Openness for applying AI tooling to architecting, coding, and documenting
- Solid understanding of data quality, data catalog, data observability, and data lineage principles
- English communication skills (spoken and written).
