Senior AI Engineer with Italian

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of advanced AI and Generative AI solutions for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape end-to-end AI strategies, deliver scalable implementations, guide junior resources, and ensure the quality, security, and robustness of AI systems deployed in production environments.

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for the full life cycle of complex AI initiatives, including:

• Leading the analysis of business requirements and translating them into technical roadmaps and architectural designs.
• Designing and developing enterprise-grade components such as inference services, ML/LLM pipelines, APIs, and microservices.
• Defining and implementing MLOps/LLMOps pipelines: model registry, versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, retraining, and rollback strategies
• Implementing advanced GenAI solutions (RAG, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, retrieval strategies, secure orchestration, agentic workflows)
• Ensuring non-functional requirements such as security, resilience, privacy-by-design, observability, and auditability
• Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to internal AI community assets, accelerators, and best practices
• Managing stakeholders, aligning on KPIs, and supporting proposal/presales activities when required

You bring deep technical expertise, architectural vision, strong leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in complex enterprise environments. Collaboration, communication, and a strategic mindset are key to succeeding in this role.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in STEM fields (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics)
• 4-6+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering and enterprise delivery
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including production-grade coding (APIs, services, testing, CI/CD)
• Proven experience in deploying AI/ML solutions to production (monitoring, retraining, lifecycle management)
• Concrete experience with GenAI/LLM frameworks and architectures (RAG, evaluation, prompt strategy, integration)
• Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure preferred) and security/compliance principles
• Technical leadership experience and mentoring ability
• Professional proficiency in English
• Professional proficiency in Italian (mandatory)

Ideally, you´ll also have

• Experience with Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, or large-scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of data engineering tools (Spark/Databricks)
• Experience in regulated industries or auditing contexts
• Open-source contributions, publications, certifications
