Senior Software Developer - SC Cleared

Role: New permanent Opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to work on a range of Mission-Critical Defence projects, As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will support development activities across a wide range of advanced technology domains, including:

• Radio Frequency and Optical Communications
• RADAR and Electronic Warfare
• Cyber and Cryptographic Systems
• Global Navigation Satellite Systems
• Joint, Air, Land, and Maritime platforms

Projects range from early proof-of-concept demonstrators to fully deployed production systems, offering exposure to varied levels of technical maturity., * Contribute to the delivery of complex software projects across the full development lifecycle

• Design, develop, and test software in line with industry best practices
• Influence and support system architecture and design decisions
• Promote and embed modern development practices to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate closely with other engineering teams and customer-facing technical groups
• Build strong relationships within the customer and stakeholder community

• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience designing and developing complex software systems
• Ability to understand and influence system architecture and design
• Proficiency with Java, Spring, and React
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Strong background in Agile delivery (Scrum, CI/CD, BDD)
• Experience using source control and delivery tooling such as GitLab and Jira
