Job description

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team in Global Technology Asset Management that works to enhance, build, deliver and operate firmwide solutions. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications., * Identifies problems, proposes and executes software solutions, design, development, operate and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

  • Develops secure, high quality, frontend production code; reviews and debugs code
  • Support the products you have built through their entire life cycle, including production and incident management
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Works with teams to understand the functional requirements of existing complex business applications
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and hands-on practical experience of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficiency with front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. typescript/react)
  • Knowledge with UX design concepts (e.g. responsive web design)
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g. REST etc..)
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Practical experience of designing and deploying applications on AWS
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Knowledge with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g. Java/SpringBoot)
