Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Software Engineer to work at the forefront of our cloud modernization, within our Credit & Verification Services.
You will be part of a high-performance engineering team as a Lead Engineer that delivers the modernization of the products.
You will work with other Software Engineers to both maintain existing systems and build our cloud-native microservices and web applications using the latest technologies and architectural patterns. This is UK-based role and reporting to Director Engineering in Hyderabad., Working as a lead engineer in an agile team to provide high-quality software solutions within agreed timelines, ensuring alignment with business requirements and Agile principles.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction.
- Take ownership of the overall technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of the software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including product owners, designers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions.
- Manage technical risks and issues, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies.
- Provide clear and concise documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.
- Translate business requirements to clean, scalable code.
- Mentor senior & junior developers, providing technical expertise, code reviews.
Requirements
- Experience working in software development leading a team.
- Hands-on experience with .NET building scalable, maintainable and performant REST APIs with microservices.
- Expertise of AWS Services like EC2, EKS and Lambda.
- Proficient in writing high-quality unit and integration tests using xUnit or nUnit, with hands-on experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
- Expertise in using mocking frameworks.
- Create and review high-level and low-level design documents.
- Experienced in conducting code reviews and applying design patterns and security best practices.
- Proficient in working with either SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience of any source control, git (e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab)
- Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience on static code quality analysis tools, vulnerability management.
