Job description
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for SAS-based applications and data processes.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and target environments to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Conduct functional, regression, and system testing for SAS programs and ETL workflows.
- Analyze large datasets in Big Data platforms (eg, Hadoop, Hive) to verify data processing logic.
- Document test results, defects, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
- Job scheduling using Control-M.
- Linux Scripting is optional, but good command line skills is ideal.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SAS Developer who can also perform responsibilities of a seasoned tester, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAS programming, data reconciliation processes and ideally BigData environments. This role involves validating data transformations, ensuring accuracy of reporting, and supporting end-to-end testing for large-scale data initiatives.
Key outcome of the tests will be to ensure that the output (datasets) of the SAS programs running in a newly setup environment running the Altair compiler are the same as the SAS programs running in the existing SAS environment/compiler, and that performance is at least the same., * Knowledge of testing frameworks is required

Strong SAS programming skills (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, Enterprise Guide, DI Studio, Stored Processes, SCL, E-Miner).

Optional: Altair products - Workbench, Hub & SLC

Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive) is a plus.

Proven ability in data reconciliation and validation across multiple systems.

Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data quality principles.

Experience with test management tools (eg, JIRA, HP ALM) and defect tracking.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of banking or financial services domain.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks for data validation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
