Job description
- Implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure for API gateways, Kubernetes workloads, and supporting services
- Provisioning and management of cloud resources (e.g., on Google Cloud) using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform
- Contribution to the GitOps setup to ensure automated building, testing, and deployment of services
- Setup and continuous improvement of monitoring, logging, and alerting, including the definition of KPIs for platform availability and performance
- Close collaboration with product teams to design applications and APIs that run efficiently in the cloud
- Participation in incident handling and on-call rotations, including troubleshooting and resolution of platform issues
- Ensuring compliance with security standards across the infrastructure and services developed
- Driving automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve performance, stability, and availability
- Participation in an on-call rotation to ensure stable and reliable systems
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, and several years experience in system/cloud/platform engineering
- Experience with public cloud platforms (ideally Google Cloud)
- Practical skills in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes (or similar orchestration)
- Knowledge about API Gateways / API Management solutions
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, and basic scripting/programming (e.g. GoLang, Python, shell)
- Understanding of APIs and microservice architectures
- Experience with XML and API protocols like SOAP, REST, GraphQL and ODATA
- Experience using secure authentication mechanisms like OAuthv2.0, JWT, SAML
- Familiarity with monitoring and operations (dashboards, alerts, incident handling)
- Experience working in agile teams; good collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English, German would be a plus
