Job description
Areti Group is partnering with a defence-aligned client to hire multiple Full-Stack Software Engineers who can deliver secure, reliable web applications at scale.
Ideal for Forces engineers (RAF, Army, Navy) or civilians who've built systems in high-trust, high-stakes environments.
Responsibilities
Build end-to-end web applications and APIs used by thousands across secure environments.
Ship modern TypeScript apps with React (Vite/Material-UI) and backends in Node.js/Express (bonus: C#/.NET or Python/Django ).
Design and document clean REST/JSON interfaces; test with Postman and automate regression suites.
Own CI/CD pipelines and Docker -based runtime on AWS ; Infrastructure-as-Code via CDK/Terraform (CDKTF) .
Apply secure-by-design and TDD ; instrument apps for observability and performance .
Collaborate with product, platform, and security teams to meet operational and compliance requirements.

Requirements
Quality & Analytics: Postman API, testing frameworks, web analytics
Patterns: Secure SDLC, OWASP Top 10 , TDD , Git-based workflows
Must-have experience
Proven delivery of full-stack web applications (frontend + backend + API) from design to production deployment .
Hands-on with TypeScript , React , Node/Express , SQL/PostgreSQL , Docker , CI/CD .
Building and consuming RESTful APIs ; JSON schemas; integration testing.
Comfortable in AWS and modern Infrastructure-as-Code approaches.
Strong engineering fundamentals: code reviews, testing, observability, performance tuning .
Security Clearance: Active SC or DV (must be current).
Nice-to-haves
Military background (RAF/Army/Navy) or delivery in defence, aerospace, or government .
Integrations with hardware/peripherals (kiosks, scanners, IoT).
Knowledge of secure networked environments , identity/access control, and accreditation workflows.
