Requirements
You will become part of a product-aligned, highly skilled and motivated engineering team who specialise in GCP networking. Our purpose is to build platform services that enable application teams to rapidly develop and modernise their solutions., We're looking for an experienced engineer with deep knowledge of Google Cloud networking and a passion for creating secure, reliable, automated infrastructure at scale. You don't need to tick every box - but should recognise yourself in most of the following:
Core Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on engineering experience with GCP networking in enterprise environments - including core services like VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, DNS, Load balancers, Private Connectivity and Cloud / Hybrid NAT.
Terraform expertise and experience deploying infrastructure as code.
Practical DevOps experience using modern tooling (e.g., Git, Terraform, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, Harness).
Ability to lead by example - whether reviewing code, supporting colleagues, or resolving complex networking issues across production and non-production environments.
Strong engineering discipline: designing, deploying, and owning services through their full lifecycle, with security, compliance and reliability built in.
About you
You enjoy solving complex, distributed systems challenges and building resilient, automated solutions at scale. You're energised by how cloud networking underpins modern AI, data and hybrid-cloud architectures. Collaborative across teams - architecture, cloud engineering, Google partners - and you care about doing things the right way: secure, observable, automated and resilient.
Nice to have (Not required - but great if you have some of them.)
Experience maintaining large-scale GCP networking or hybrid connectivity environments.
Network Connectivity Centre
Understanding of how GCP networking supports key workloads (e.g., Compute, Database, storage, and data/AI platforms).
Familiarity with Python or Bash for infrastructure automation.
Knowledge of enterprise network concepts such as IP management, proxies, firewalls, Infoblox or identity platforms.
Exposure to monitoring and telemetry systems (e.g., Dynatrace, Google Cloud Monitoring).
Relevant GCP certifications or a background in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
What matters most
Curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and a drive to improve how things work. You'll thrive here if you enjoy shaping solutions, navigating ambiguity, and working with others to deliver secure, scalable, modern cloud networking.
