In this varied role, you are part of the Network Operation Center and responsible for the secure operation of the deployed Network Management Systems (NMS) and telecommunications tools.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Ensuring trouble-free operation of the Network Management Systems and tools
- Focus on the interface between operating system and applications as well as the provision and optimization of applications in the area of Network Management Systems
- Supporting the creation of documentation in the form of concepts, system overviews, and system architectures according to internal guidelines using the designated tools
- Conducting acceptance tests and accompanying the implementation of the Network Management Systems
- Responsible for applying patches and updates to the Network Management Systems
- Receiving, analyzing, and resolving malfunctions in the Network Management System area
- Processing service requests and, if necessary, forwarding tickets to subsequent departments or suppliers
- Ensuring that the systems including components comply with internal requirements and especially with Cyber Security demands
- Responsible for the operation of the deployed Network Management Systems and tools within the Network Operation Center
Requirements
- Technical education in IT or equivalent, experience in server environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
- Proficient in Linux and shell scripting for system management., For this role, we are looking for a structured and empathetic personality with team player qualities and very good communication and documentation skills., * Technical vocational training in IT or an equivalent education, further training (e.g., higher technical school HTL or similar) desired
- Experience in operating complex server environments in critical infrastructure settings
- Knowledge in operating systems, especially Linux
- Knowledge in shell scripting
- Willingness for continuous change and further education
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation (certification is an advantage)
- Very good German and English skills
