Job description
IT System Engineer/Administrator - Fircosoft Platform vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.
Your tasks:
- Install, configure, and maintain Fircosoft software and associated infrastructure, including Servers and databases
- Develop, test, and optimise Fircosoft rules to detect and flag suspicious transactions and potential sanctions breaches
- Assess system performance, implement tuning measures, and ensure effective sanctions screening
- Collaborate with IT, Compliance, and Operations teams to integrate Fircosoft into workflows and resolve system-related incidents
- Monitor regulatory requirements, update sanctions lists, and contribute to the enhancement of complex IT systems
Your experience/knowledge:
- Degree in Computer Science or similar, with proven experience as a system engineer/administrator in regulated environments
- Solid understanding of Fircosoft products, such as FircoContinuity, FircoTrust, and Firco Screen & Keep
- Strong technical skills including database management (Oracle), PKI, SSH, digital certificates, IP Networking, Firewalls, programming (Java, Shell, Perl), and messaging (JMS, IBM MQ, Apache Kafka)
- Familiarity with financial regulations (eg, OFAC, HMT, EU, UN sanctions lists) and sanctions screening processes
- Experience in system implementation, project planning, and leading acceptance testing
- Language skills: Fluent English required; German is a strong advantage
