Design Engineer

• Produce detailed fabrication drawings for the workshop.
• Create machined component drawings for the machine shop.
• Design components and assemblies using AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software.
• Liaise with workshop and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Visit local sites to take measurements and gather project information when required (transport provided).
• Maintain accurate drawing records and revisions.

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Metal fabrication?, We are looking for a Design Engineer with experience in metal fabrication to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate fabrication drawings and supporting both our workshop and machine shop operations.

This role would suit someone with a background in fabrication or manufacturing engineering, who is comfortable working with both 2D and 3D CAD software., * Experience working in metal fabrication, particularly with mild steel and stainless steel.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and workshop practices.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate technical drawings and fabrication details.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

• Background in metal fabrication, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing.
• Experience producing drawings for machined components.
• Knowledge of fabrication standards and tolerances.
