Job description

We have full ownership of our Microsoft modern workplace estate, including Microsoft Dynamics, giving us the autonomy to design, improve, and innovate rather than simply maintain. This is a forward-thinking environment where technical expertise is trusted, continuous improvement is encouraged, and high standards matter., The 3rd Line IT Support Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of MJ Quinn's IT services. This is a senior technical position, acting as the escalation point for complex issues and a key contributor to the ongoing optimisation of our IT environment.

You'll operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The role balances reactive problem-solving with proactive improvement, giving you the opportunity to influence how systems are designed, supported, and evolved as the business grows.

Alongside deep technical expertise, this role requires a confident and effective communicator who is comfortable engaging with key stakeholders at all levels. You'll translate complex technical challenges into clear, meaningful updates for non-technical audiences, while working closely with technical peers on detailed solutions and improvements.

As a senior member of the team, you'll take an active role in mentoring and supporting 1st and 2nd Line engineers, sharing knowledge, encouraging best practice, and helping to raise capability across the service.

Working closely with colleagues across IT and the wider business, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor - combining technical excellence with a pragmatic, service-focused approach that supports MJ Quinn's objectives., Travel to and from other office required on ad hoc basis, · Provide expert 3rd line support across infrastructure, systems, and applications

· Act as the final escalation point for complex or high-impact incidents

· Diagnose and resolve root causes, not just symptoms

· Lead and contribute to problem management and service improvement initiatives

· Support and mentor 1st and 2nd Line engineers, sharing knowledge and best practice

· Work closely with internal stakeholders to align IT services with business needs

· Assist with system upgrades, projects, and the introduction of new technologies

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Technical support?, · You'll be an experienced IT professional with strong technical depth and a calm, methodical approach to problem-solving. You're comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and explaining complex technical issues in a clear, practical way.

You'll bring:

· Proven experience in a 3rd Line or senior technical support role]

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft modern workplace technologies

· Solid understanding of networks, servers, and enterprise applications

· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

· A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

· The ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

· Legal right to work in the UK.

· A full UK valid Driving Licence., * IT support: 3 years (required)
