Job description
As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions for high-precision machinery. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for complex, hardware-related software systems and work closely with development and QA teams in an international environment. Your contribution will directly support stable releases and continuous improvement of our products.
- Design, implement, and execute automated tests for hardware-near software used in high-precision machine control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Maintain and adapt test environments in line with new software features and customer-specific requirements
- Verify bug fixes through targeted testing to ensure long-term software stability
- Support internal stakeholders through clear communication in an international project environment
- Travel occasionally for on-site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Technical background (HTL or comparable); a relevant university degree is an advantage
- Solid experience in software test automation, software testing, and Quality Assurance
- Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting (e.g. Python)
- Familiarity with modern test methods, tools, and best practices; ISTQB certification is a plus
- Experience with industrial machinery or hardware-related software is desirable
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Analytical, solution-oriented, communicative, and a proactive team player with willingness to travel
