Storage DPS SME

We are seeking an experienced Storage DPS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide deep technical expertise across enterprise data protection and storage platforms. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and operation of resilient backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) services supporting containerised, virtualised, and bare-metal environments. Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for enterprise data protection services, including NetBackup/Commvault and Data Domain.
• Design and operate backup policies, schedules, retention models, and air-gap strategies.
• Integrate data protection services with OpenShift platforms (including Velero and CSI snapshots) and enterprise databases to ensure application-consistent backups.
• Optimise backup and recovery performance, including deduplication, encryption, and replication to DR sites.
• Execute restores, support DR exercises, and lead regular DR drills.
• Produce compliance and audit reporting, and perform capacity planning and forecasting.
• Support DPS storage and virtualisation activities, including provisioning, migration, hardware installation, and configuration.

• Strong hands-on experience with NetBackup or Commvault, and Data Domain platforms.

• Proven knowledge of DPS storage, virtualisation, provisioning, and migration.

• Solid understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, Linux, and networking.

• Experience protecting OpenShift, virtualised, and bare-metal workloads.

• Demonstrable experience designing solutions to meet defined RPO/RTO objectives.

• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements in enterprise environments. Desirable

• Experience operating in large-scale or mission-critical environments.

• Exposure to automation and infrastructure-as-code approaches for backup and recovery.
