Job description
- Platform & Developer Experience Define and evolve the internal platform - cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and developer tooling - so that product engineering teams can deliver safely and at high velocity. Drive a "platform as a product" mindset, treating internal teams as customers.
- Quality Engineering Own the group-wide QA strategy. Set QA standards and work with the QA engineers who are embedded in the product teams. Set standards for automated testing standards, quality gates, and cross-team release confidence frameworks. Elevate quality from a phase to a continuous practice embedded in every team's workflow.
- IT & Operational Reliability Ensure robust IT support and business continuity management across all locations. Own tech BCM planning, IT resilience, and the operational readiness of internal systems that keep the organisation running.
- Security & Compliance Enablement Work in close partnership with the CISO and the Head of Security to translate security strategy into engineering execution. Ensure that ICT risk management, security engineering, and regulatory obligations (BaFin, DSGVO, DORA)
- AI Internal App Support & Automation Champion the use of AI to accelerate internal productivity in the wider organisation outside of tech. Own the AI Internal App Support function, including AI automation engineers and workflow/process automation specialists, and establish a roadmap for how AI tooling can compound delivery capacity across the organisation.
Requirements
Platform Leadership: Proven experience leading platform/infrastructure engineering teams in fintech, banking, or high-scale digital environments. Broad Engineering Domain: Strong understanding across cloud operations (AWS/Azure), DevOps/DevSecOps, mobile engineering, QA, and modern SRE practices. Security & Compliance: Hands-on knowledge of security and regulatory compliance frameworks (DORA, GDPR/DSGVO, BaFin).
