Job description
A growing software company is continuing to invest heavily in artificial intelligence and machine learning as a core part of its future product strategy. To strengthen this area further, the business is looking to hire an AI Engineer or Data Scientist with strong expertise in deep learning and large language models. This role offers the opportunity to work on the development of next-generation AI-driven product features, with a particular focus on intelligent solutions for document-centric and data-intensive workflows. Tasks Design and develop neural network and LLM-based solutions for practical business use cases Contribute to the creation of new AI-powered product capabilities Prepare, curate, and improve training datasets to support model quality and robustness Train, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models using appropriate benchmarking methods Optimise models with regard to accuracy, inference speed, and efficiency Support the integration of trained models into existing software systems and product environments Collaborate with technical teams on deployment and production-readiness of AI solutions
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, or applied AI Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow Experience working with large language models, including fine-tuning and prompt engineering Strong programming skills, ideally in Python and/or C# Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD, or production deployment workflows is beneficial Fluent English is required Basic German skills are helpful but not essential
