SQL Developer

As a SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in building new database functionalities for a Finance control tool application that supports our funded 2026 initiatives. You will be part of the BUCS development teams, which are essential for the daily PNL Production process for GBAM Finance. With a talented team of 11 based in Camberley, Singapore, and India, you will support over 500 daily users.

This role is pivotal in implementing new bank-wide development processes, upgrading toolsets to the latest technologies, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and standards., * Develop and enhance database functionalities for critical finance applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive changes in working practices, improving delivery efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with global teams, ensuring alignment and understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of issues, pursuing resolutions in a timely manner while maintaining high communication standards.

• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server development.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices.
• Good OO design skills with knowledge of design patterns and architectural principles.
• Broad technical understanding and appreciation of the full project lifecycle and business delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with global teams.
• A willingness to learn and adopt best practices, enhancing team procedures and standards.

Desired Skills:

• Investment banking experience, particularly in front or middle office teams, is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of risk awareness, including operational, compliance, business, and reputational risks.
