Job description

Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer; key responsibilities will be the testing, repair and troubleshooting across the range of company products both inhouse and on site.

  • In-house testing of transformers/marshalling enclosures/control panels
  • Testing of LV cabinets and control devices
  • Complete protection modifications

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schematics?, * Minimum of 5 years testing experience within an electrical engineering company

  • Experience of testing and commissioning transformers essential.
  • Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential
  • The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential
  • Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Risk Assessment policies and responsibility
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel
  • Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to assist in other departments when required, * Testing withing an electrical engineering company: 5 years (required)
  • Testing and commissioning transformers : 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Electrical qualifications (required)

Working hours:

Week 1 7.45 am and 4.45 pm Monday to Thursday (Friday off)

Week 2 7.45 am to 4.45 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45 am to 15.15 pm on Friday

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £34,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
