Software Developer

Development

• Design and develop application components, primarily using C Sharp
• Architect new functionality and obtain internal approval on development specifications
• Operate within an Agile Scrum framework to meet defined product and customer requirements
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure robustness across all scenarios
• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance teams to validate release readiness

Maintenance and Continuous Improvement

• Diagnose and resolve defects using structured problem-solving
• Maintain and upgrade the platform in line with internal change control processes
• Undertake peer code reviews to uphold engineering standards
• Contribute to improvements across codebase, platform performance, and internal processes
• Review deployments and apply lessons learned to strengthen future delivery
• Design and pilot prototype applications where required
• Remain current with evolving development practices, frameworks, and technologies

Our client, a well-established Berkshire-based technology organisation, is seeking a disciplined Software Developer to support the evolution of a commercially critical platform.

This position requires structured thinking, engineering maturity, and the ability to deliver reliable software within a controlled environment., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or related discipline, ideally from a Russell Group university

• Minimum three years' experience in a commercial software development role
• Strong commercial experience developing applications in C Sharp
• Solid SQL capability and experience with relational database platforms
• Experience with source control systems, particularly Git
• Demonstrable experience operating within Agile environments, specifically Scrum

Advantageous

• Exposure to recognised application security standards
• Experience with recent versions of Dot Net Core
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and associated modern frameworks
