We are looking for a dedicated IT Infrastructure Engineer to join us in our mission to ensure the health, performance, and security of our core technology. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of our technology infrastructure, serving as a critical Tier 2/3 technical lead. What's the role? You will be responsible for the high availability and robust protection of our critical systems through the following domains:

  • Systems & Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux) and manage directory services like Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Network Management: Oversee routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs while administering core services such as DNS and DHCP.
  • Security & Data Integrity: Deploy endpoint protection, monitor for breaches, and manage robust data backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols.
  • Virtualisation & Cloud: Administer virtualised platforms and manage hybrid cloud resources (IaaS/PaaS) within Microsoft Azure.
  • Maintenance & Tier 2/3 Support: Diagnose complex hardware/software issues and maintain detailed technical documentation and system diagrams.
  • Innovation: Research and evaluate new technologies-such as automation and cybersecurity-to recommend strategic improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive, hands-on experience in dedicated System or Network Administration.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in Windows/Linux Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs).
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical skills for diagnosing complex, multi-system infrastructure issues.
  • Security Focus: A strong commitment to security best practices, including patching and access control.

Desirable

  • Cloud & Automation: Experience with Azure IaaS and scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure, Fortinet, VMware, CCNA, or CompTIA Server+/Security+ certifications.
  • Frameworks: Familiarity with the ITIL framework for incident and change management.
