Backend Lead XLab

• In this role you will be responsible for leading an agile team (Kanban/Scrum) across different locations, ensuring continuous delivery of new functionality, efficiency, compliance with engineering standards, and building quality-based development culture.

• • Act as the main point of contact between the technical team and management: translate business needs into technical direction and vice versa.
• • Own the codebase, tech stack, and applications throughout the full lifecycle.
• • Perform backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• • Design, build, automate, deploy, and maintain robust and secure client-facing wealth management applications.
• • Drive DevOps practices: deployment automation, CI/CD, reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence.

• Your tasks will also include:
• • Proven ability to lead and grow people (coaching, feedback, accountability) in a distributed setup.
• • Excellent stakeholder skills: communicate clearly with senior leadership and influence decisions with facts, clarity, and persuasion.
• • Fluency in (Swiss) German and English (required).
• • Deep knowledge of Java and the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
• • Experience in building microservice-based backends using Java + Spring Boot.
• • Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration-preferably Kubernetes.
