A vacancy for an IT Service Modeler (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space.
The successful applicant will join "Transformation and Services Design" within the Digital Infrastructure Organization (TDI).
The "Transformation and Services Design" team is responsible for the service design of all new infrastructure services and of any change to existing services which may require a review of the business value and agreed / expected outcomes. The team also acts as liaison with different teams from the whole Digital organization (TD) for translating and coordinating relevant transformation activities within the TDI organization. Within the currently running Digital Transformation program, this includes topics such as ´Digital Goes PSL´, ´Product Policies´, ´Product & Service Portfolio Management´, ´Financial Transparency´, ´Technical Debt´, etc.

Your mission
As a Transformation & Service Design Modeler, you will contribute to shaping and consolidating future Digital Infrastructure customer service models, with a strong functional focus on Hosting, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Identity Governance.
Your mission is to ensure that these services are designed, structured and evolved in a way that is:
- Modular, scalable and understandable for customers
- Aligned with digital transformation and security-by-design principles
- Compatible with European defence, space and sovereignty constraints
- Suitable for restricted and sensitive information environments
- Ready to integrate future capabilities, including automation and AI-enabled services
You will act as a functional reference for service design and transformation, without owning implementation, tooling or run activities.
What you will do
Drive service design and transformation for Hosting, IAM & Identity Governance

Analyse existing Hosting, IAM and Identity Governance services from a functional and IT service perspective

Contribute to the evolution of service concepts covering:
-
Hosting (on-premise, hybrid, cloud-enabled models)
-
Identity lifecycle management (joiner / mover / leaver)
-
Access management and authentication services
-
Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), including access reviews and compliance controls
-
Ensure services are designed as clear, reusable and evolvable building blocks rather than technology-specific solutions
Strengthen identity governance through service design
-
Integrate identity governance principles into service design, including:
-
Role and entitlement models
-
Access request and approval workflows
-
Periodic access reviews and recertification
-
Traceability and auditability requirements
-
Ensure service design supports:
-
Regulatory and compliance expectations
-
Defence and space security constraints
-
Segregation of duties and least-privilege principles
Ensure catalog coherence and modularity
- Define and maintain service design principles and patterns applicable to Hosting, IAM and Identity Governance
- Support structuring and consolidation of the ITSM service catalog
- Prevent service duplication, fragmentation and technology-driven designs
- Ensure alignment between service design, customer expectations and operational realities
Support digital transformation and future readiness

Identity federation and zero-trust architectures

Automation and AI-enabled identity and access services

Ensure that service designs remain compatible with:

European digital sovereignty requirements

Contribute to transformation roadmaps from a functional design and governance standpoint
Act as a functional interface across stakeholders
- Work closely with:
- Business Analysts within Customer Service Design
- Hosting and IAM PSLs
- Security, architecture, compliance and governance teams, Shape the future of Hosting, IAM and Identity Governance services in a critical European defence and space context
- Influence service models used across multiple countries and programmes

Requirements
Experience in service design, digital infrastructure transformation or ITSM governance

Solid functional understanding of:

Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) concepts and controls

Strong analytical and structuring capabilities

Ability to work across organisational, cultural and geographical boundaries

English (negotiation level); additional European languages are a plus
