Job description
Join us as an Infrastructure & End User Computing (EUC) Engineer, where you'll provide expert 3rd-line support across core infrastructure and end-user services. You'll help keep systems stable, secure and well-maintained while contributing to improvements, solving complex technical issues, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across a broad range of technologies., * Act as 3rd line support across core Infrastructure and End User Compute (EUC) services.
- Prioritise, manage and resolve incidents relating to servers, storage, end-user services, desktop platforms and collaboration tools.
- Identify and manage problems by implementing workarounds and finding permanent root-cause solutions.
- Maintain high-quality documentation reflecting accurate operational knowledge.
- Maintain patching, compliance and security baselines for Infrastructure and EUC services, including OS, endpoint tooling and core platforms.
- Design, recommend, plan and implement Infrastructure and EUC solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
- Act as a technical authority for Infrastructure and EUC services, supporting change governance and ensuring technical standards are met.
- Support and administer the technology and tools for the management of end-user hardware, operating systems, mobile devices, collaboration and virtual desktops.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform reliability.
Requirements
- Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft ecosystem technologies across Infrastructure and EUC.
- Extensive experience supporting global enterprise environments (ideally Oil & Gas), providing both operational BAU and project delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders up to Senior Leadership level.
- Strong experience installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft technologies in both physical, virtual and end-user environments.
- Experience in:
- Microsoft Azure IaaS
- Global OS upgrades and endpoint lifecycle management
- Microsoft Exchange & Microsoft 365 technologies
- EMC or equivalent storage
- VMware / Hyper-V
- VDI technologies
- Endpoint tooling (Intune, SCCM or similar)
- PowerShell and automation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose both Infrastructure and EUC-related issues end-to-end.
- Proven documentation skills and ability to clearly articulate technical information.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and drive improvements across multiple technical areas.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and desire to remain current across Infrastructure and EUC trends.
- Experience working within an ITIL-aligned environment.
- Technical certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Citrix or associated technologies.
