Design Engineer

We're looking for an Engineering Design Manager to join our forward-thinking engineering team within a well-established UK manufacturer. In this hands-on role, you'll take products from concept through to production while helping shape continuous improvements across our design and manufacturing processes. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Design Manager to run a busy design office. With a small team reporting to you, you will be hands-on designing products as well as managing you team to ensure the company continues to innovate and lead the way in their market. The Job: Duties will include:

• Allocating work, ensuring all needs of the business are met including current production, sales, service and R and D.
• Interpreting design briefs and providing innovative solutions to design problems.
• 3D Model creation, FEA Analysis, DFM - all using the Creo Software package suite.
• BIM creations using Syspro
• Liaising with suppliers and business partners to ensure suitability of materials, parts and cost.
• Taking products through from conception to completion, working closely with the in-house departments and in-house manufacturing team.

We require a Senior Design Engineer, or Design Manager, with experience of sheet metal and large assemblies. Knowledge of Hydraulics, electrics and plumbing systems would be an advantage., We find the perfect candidates for the right roles in a variety of engineering sectors; oil, gas, civil, rail, automotive, aerospace, structural, mechanical, electrical… the list goes on.
