OverviewFull Stack Java Developer role at TEKsystems. This application is a suite of microservices used to manage outreach to customers for information, authorisations, etc. The team is distributed across China, India, Poland and the UK. The role involves modernising aspects of the application and expanding it to support additional customer types, customer journeys and new functionality. ResponsibilitiesBe hands-on, delivering code to production, supporting the architecture and design of the system aligned to a microservice structure. Be aware of business, engineering and non-functional requirements to help the business grow. Drive the wider engineering culture across the teams. Collaborate with a global team where coordination crosses regional boundaries. Proactively remove impediments, identify risks and communicate issues to program management. Identify process inefficiencies and implement innovative and programmatic ways to eliminate them. QualificationsStrong experience in software engineering with proven expertise in designing, developing and deploying backend applications. Experience delivering in a microservice architecture. Experience delivering changes to production at high cadence. Experience delivering RESTful APIs to production. Experience writing schemas for and working with PostgreSQL databases. You should also have experience with one or more of the following: Java, preferably recent versions Containers and orchestration technology such as Docker/Kubernetes GCP Cloud platform ReactJS for UI development Experience in the financial sector, specifically banking Job detailsJob Title:Full Stack Java Developer Location:Sheffield, UK Rate/Salary:350.00 - 400.00 GBP Daily Job Type:Contract Trading as TEKsystems.
