Job description

My client was established in the 1930s and is a world leader in delivering quality electrical solutions for military applications and its equipment and systems that can be found in a broad range of applications across the globe. As the Electrical Manufacturing Support Engineer, you are responsible for reviewing, updating and checking schematics, 2D and 3D CAD, BOMs, general arrangement drawings, build guides and other manufacturing information for previously built items and occasionally developing new designs in preparation for manufacture. Providing technical support to production and resolving problems and faults, processing change requests, checking obsolescence and other part-related issues. Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or General Engineering or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or General Engineering, that has covered electrical engineering plus relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, product development and manufacturing
  • Electrical fault-finding, power distribution and low voltage control systems and the use of electrical test equipment, and understanding of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing
  • Experience using Autodesk Electrical to design high schematics, and Autodesk Inventor to design high-quality models, detailed BOMs and fully documented manufacturing data-packs What we offer the Electrical Manufacturing Support Engineer

Benefits & conditions

  • Salary between £30,000 to £45,000 doe
  • 25 days annual leave Bank Holidays
  • Flexible working based on core hours
  • Working hours are 8.15am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am to 12.30pm on Friday
  • Company group personal pension scheme the company pays 4%, and the employee pays 4%
  • Death in service benefit equating to 3 times basic salary, eligible after 3 months of service
