Job description
- Primary customer applications expert for critical dimension metrology.
- Provides technical expertise through customer consultation, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
- Assists customers with assessing potential critical dimension applications to meet process metrology needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
- May build an application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
- May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
- Support of the core X-ray based XRF/XRR, engineering and production teams in qualification of new technologies, algorithms, methodologies, software and hardware features.
- Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications including source inspection of the tools prior to shipment and following installation.
- May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Will work with our customers from prior to the sale, through delivery and installation.
- Work in close cooperation with our factory engineers and scientists.
Requirements

Degree in material science, chemical engineering, chemistry or physics (B.Sc. minimum, M.Sc. or PhD is preferred).

Prior experience in a semiconductor fab, preferably with critical dimension metrology systems.

Familiarity with metrology and characterization techniques (preferably hands-on work and results analysis). Experience in XRF/XRR/XRD X-Ray technology and the different metrology techniques preferred.

Experience as application engineer on XRF, XRR & XRD is a plus.

Good knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

Fluent in English and experience in technical writing

Demonstrated oral & written communications and interpersonal relationship skills, particularly intercultural skills; strong customer orientation.

Ability to work and be creative under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Self-organized and self-disciplined. Ability to work alone and within a team environment to solve problems. Experience working in the semiconductor industry and familiarity with problem analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
