SC Cleared Data Engineer - AWS

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions
• Build and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines to support business-critical use cases
• Work with large, complex datasets, ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity, and availability
• Develop and manage data models, schemas, and database structures
• Deploy and manage cloud-based data infrastructure within AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs
• Ensure a strong documentation-first approach, producing clear and maintainable technical documentation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and system performance

• Strong grounding in data engineering principles, patterns, and best practices
• Proven experience with database design and management
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines (both batch and streaming)
• Strong experience working within AWS environments, including:

• S3, Athena, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, EC2, MSK

• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Advanced SQL skills and experience handling large-scale datasets
