Embedded Software Engineer

In this role, you'll contribute to the full lifecycle of embedded software development- working closely with technical leadership to design, build, and support high-quality systems that meet rigorous engineering and security standards., * Design and develop embedded software solutions for real-time systems

• Deliver robust, fully tested, and maintainable code aligned with project objectives
• Debug, test, and optimise software for performance in embedded environments
• Ensure adherence to governance policies, secure coding standards, and design review processes
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and provide regular progress updates

• Strong experience working in embedded Linux environments (driver modification desirable, ideally PetaLinux)
• Proven experience developing in C++ for embedded systems, including working with and maintaining existing codebases
• Experience capturing and managing software requirements (ideally using DOORS)
• Experience designing and architecting complex embedded software systems
• Solid understanding of UML and system modelling
• Strong documentation and communication skills (Microsoft Office)

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Familiarity with static analysis and code quality tools (e.g. Coverity)
• Understanding of secure coding practices in C++
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket for version control and configuration management
