Azure Platform Engineer - Outside IR35 - Remote

We are looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing data platforms, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and data engineering environments using Databricks.

This role requires a blend of cloud engineering, automation, and data platform expertise to support modern, data-driven solutions., * Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Build and optimize data platforms leveraging Azure Databricks
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams to support data pipelines
• Automate deployment processes and improve CI/CD workflows
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Implement security best practices, including identity and access management
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and infrastructure issues
• Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and deployments

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (eg, VNet, Azure AD, Storage, Key Vault)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Proven experience with Azure Databricks and data platform architecture
• Proficiency in Scripting languages (eg, Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (eg, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and cost management
• Understanding of data engineering concepts and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with monitoring tools (eg, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Spark and big data technologies
• Knowledge of Delta Lake and data lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
