  • Be supported by experienced engineers, mentors and structured training

You'll play a key role in modernising how we use data - improving services, enabling better decision-making, and supporting innovation across the council. What You'll Be Doing No two days will be the same, but you'll be involved in things like:

  • Combining data from APIs, databases and external sources into unified datasets
  • Automating data processes using scripts and code
  • Working closely with data engineers, analysts and service teams to understand real business needs
  • Helping ensure data quality, integrity and security across systems

Requirements

This is a graduate / early-career role, so we're more interested in your potential than ticking every box. You might be:

  • A graduate in Computer Science, IT, Data, or a related subject
  • Or someone with relevant technical training or practical experience
  • Experienced in using APIs, cloud platforms, databases and data integration
  • Comfortable working with SQL and keen to deepen your skills
  • Learning & Development

  • Get hands-on experience on real digital projects
  • Build a strong foundation in data architecture, DevOps and integration patterns
  • Continuously develop your skills through training, workshops and learning resources
