Job Description As a Data Solution Architect, you will lead technical approaches that capture our client's digital strategic vision and business needs into data solutions. You will act as the bridge between development teams and project stakeholders, ensuring that complex technical and business requirements can be communicated effectively throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the wider cross-functional Digital Team of Analysts, Scientists and Engineers ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with client requirements and AECOM's strategic vision. A successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of data systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture principles, coupled with strong leadership and collaboration skills. Candidates will also be capable of efficiently capturing the solution design vision from inception and maintaining that vision through to deployment. Responsibilities * Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data solutions and platforms, ensuring standard quality metrics and alignment with client and AECOM's business objectives. * Translate complex business needs into captured technical requirements for development teams. * Develop data-centric architecture, utilise patters such as lakehouse models, streaming architectures, and AI-driven platforms. Data Management & Governance * Define and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with our client's environmental requirements as well as compliance industry standards and best practices. * Lead large-scale cloud data ops such as warehouse migrations or digital twin implementation. * Develop data product strategies with a product-led approach, ensuring alignment with AECOM's data strategy. * Oversee data modelling initiatives, employing methodologies such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Data Vault to support analytics and reporting needs. Technology Leadership * Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance AECOM's data and solution architecture capabilities. * Act as a technical leader, facilitating discussions on architectural trade-offs, standard practices, and risk mitigation strategies. * Provide knowledge sharing sessions to the wider digital team to promote our culture of collaboration excellence and continuous improvement. Requirements

Qualifications Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). * Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred; Scala, Java, or C# also beneficial). * Understanding of Data Engineering concepts (ETL, Medallion, Real-Time Streaming, Orchestration). * Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control (Git), testing frameworks) * Understanding of APIs, REST principles, and data integration patterns. Preferred Qualifications * Professional certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * TOGAF Certification or similar enterprise architecture credentials. * Data-related certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
