AECOM's Systems Engineering team in Warrington provides multi-disciplinary consultancy to the nuclear industry, Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other such security classified clients. We provide consultancy services to the nuclear new build, decommissioning sectors, MoD facilities, ITER and the DIO. Our Warrington office supports and provides an array of consultancy services to various diverse clients including: Defence sector providing multi-disciplinary new build support to various clients. MoD supporting the Nuclear CASD providing new facilities around the UK Defence Infrastructure Organisation Nuclear new build sector where we are providing engineering support to the developers of the UK's fleet of new nuclear power stations Decommissioning Sector, which requires considerable new build to enable decommissioning, where AECOM provides support to the entire Nuclear Estate. Joint ventures overseas, providing engineering expertise from cradle to grave. Here's what you'll do:: The Senior Systems Engineer is a role within the AECOM Nuclear business and involves supporting various systems engineering activities throughout the whole life cycle. Responsibilities include: Working within the Systems Engineering function to provide support to the Systems Engineering Discipline Lead in Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management and IVVQ. Interface with client technical and non-technical teams, remotely and directly on-site. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation and processes. Apply Systems Engineering best practices and approaches to grow the Systems Engineering capability within the engineering team. Managing end-to-end lifecycle traceability & reporting to achieve certification and delivery. You are expected to be able to work on your own and as part of a team liaising with engineers of different disciplines, to ensure a complete and unified design. Come grow with us. Requirements
Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for: Experience and a full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-model and associated processes/lifecycles. Degree qualified in STEM or a similar subject, or demonstratable engineering experience supported by appropriate qualifications. Chartered Engineer, or on the path to Chartered status with an appropriate institute. Currently SC cleared or able to meet SC requirements. Experience in highly regulated industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear. Experience in writing and formally reviewing high quality technical documentation. Experience in decomposing, authoring and managing System-Level Requirements. Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques, and technology trends e.g. SEBoK, INCOSE practices, NASA System Engineering, DOORS. Preferred Additional Qualifications / Skills Team management and Leadership. Project management skills. Criticality awareness. Radiation awareness. HAZOP knowledge. Nuclear site operations. Nuclear decommissioning. Nuclear new build. Nuclear safety cases. You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.
