Job description

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Designer/Developer to support the client across critical business domains, including the F3 portfolio, DA applications, and commission systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust solutions within an agile framework, ensuring high-quality delivery of mainframe-based technology to meet evolving insurance business requirements. Responsibilities

  • -Solution Design: Create detailed technical designs for implementing complex business requirements within the mainframe environment. -End-to-End Implementation: Lead the coding, testing, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring stability across both batch and online processing. -Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum/SAFe) to drive continuous improvement and iterative delivery. -Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document technical and functional requirements. -Quality Assurance: Execute rigorous testing protocols to ensure software integrity and performance within the F3 and DA application portfolios.

Requirements

Must have

  • -Technical Core: Extensive experience in Mainframe development using PL/1 and Cobol. -Data & Environment: Proficient in DB2, SQL, and JCL for managing complex data structures and job scheduling. -TP Monitors: Hands-on experience with CICS, IMS-DC, or similar Transaction Processing monitors. -Programming Depth: Proven track record in both batch and online programming environments. -Language Proficiency: Professional-level German (written and spoken) is a mandatory requirement for this role. -Analysis & Testing: Strong background in eliciting technical requirements and conducting comprehensive software testing.

Nice to have -Insurance Domain Knowledge: Prior experience or "know-how" in General Insurance or commission systems. -Business Analysis: Practical experience in bridging the gap between business needs and technical specifications. -Agile Frameworks: Familiarity with Scrum or SAFe methodologies is highly preferred.
