Job description
We are seeking an Application Architect with over 10 years of experience to join a technology consulting firm specializing in public sector projects. This position combines strong technical expertise with strategic business acumen, playing a key role in solution design, liaising with institutional clients, and preparing proposals for bidding processes.
Main Responsibilities:

Define and lead scalable, secure application architectures aligned with client requirements.

Actively participate in the development of technical and financial proposals (RFPs, public tenders).

Coordinate with operations and business development teams to ensure the technical and functional viability of solutions.

Oversee the full application lifecycle: design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with quality and security standards (GDPR, ENS, etc.) and good development practices.

Prepare technical documentation, architecture plans, manuals, and continuous improvement proposals.

Act as a technical representative for public sector clients (ministries, city councils, regulatory agencies, etc.).
Requirements

More than 10 years of experience in application architecture, preferably in a technology consulting environment.

Demonstrable experience in public sector projects, including participation in tenders.

Mastery of modern architectures: microservices, SOA, REST APIs, containers (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and continuous integration tools (CI/CD).

Experience with technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, and enterprise development frameworks.

Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with functional and business profiles.

Excellent communication, documentation, and client presentation skills.

Architecture certifications (TOGAF, AWS Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).

Experience in interoperability, e-government, and public information systems.

Knowledge of specific public sector regulations (ENS, eIDAS, Law 39/2015 and 40/2015).
Location: Barcelona (hybrid model possible).
Languages: Native Catalan, Native Spanish. Professional English (minimum B2).
