Job description

Expleo UK is growing, and we're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Security Administration Coordinator to support our Security function. You'll be at the heart of vetting, clearances, and access control keeping our people and clients safe while ensuring high-quality processes. Whether you already have security administration experience or you're an organised administrator eager to develop specialist vetting skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role with real responsibility and clear career growth. Responsibilities

  • Managing, processing, and maintaining BPSS checks and supporting the full lifecycle of SC clearance applications
  • Maintaining security databases, tracking tools, SharePoint pages, and Excel spreadsheets to ensure data accuracy
  • Providing administrative support to the Security department, ensuring documentation is audit-ready
  • Overseeing access control, including issuing new passes, processing changes, and managing access requests
  • Handling and triaging security-related queries, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when required
  • Identifying and escalating clearance risks, inconsistencies, or irregularities
  • Liaising with client security teams to ensure a smooth clearance process and consistent communication
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives-bringing ideas to streamline systems, tools, and processes

Requirements

  • No specific degree required administrative or security-related experience is welcomed

  • Any security or vetting-specific certifications are beneficial but not essential Essential skills

  • Prior exposure to BPSS, SC, or other UK Security Vetting processes

  • Understanding of compliance, audit standards, or risk escalation Desired skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict timelines

  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new processes and security frameworks Experience

  • You don't need to tick every box if you're organised, eager to learn, and strong on compliance, we want to hear from you.

  • Experience using SharePoint, Excel, or other tracking systems

  • Experience in a Security, Vetting, Defence, or Government environment

  • Experience handling pass office or access control activities
