Job description
For one of our clients within the Defence & Security domain, we are looking for an Operations & Support Specialist to join a newly formed Software Delivery team.
In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining a secure, stable, and efficient development environment that enables software teams to focus on delivering high-quality solutions in mission-critical environments.
You will operate at the intersection of support, application management, and DevOps, ensuring that central tooling and platforms are reliable, well-configured, and easy to use - even within complex and regulated environments.
This is a hands-on role with real impact, where you act as a key point of contact for development teams and help drive continuous improvement., * Act as the primary point of contact for development teams regarding tooling and support
- Manage and maintain software delivery and CI/CD tooling (e.g. ALM tools, Git-based platforms)
- Perform functional application management, including configuration, updates, and user support
- Support and guide teams in the effective use of tools and development environments
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with central IT teams for technical resolutions
- Contribute to the setup, improvement, and optimisation of development tooling and processes
- Monitor performance and ensure stability, security, and usability of the platforms
- Translate user needs into practical improvements and configurations

We have more than 20 years of experience working on instrument calibration, the creation of data quality monitoring tools, the development of real-time data processing frameworks, and the development of application-specific algorithms. We focus on the following domains: Space & Science, Defence & Security, Environment & Sustainability, and High-Tech Consulting.
Requirements
- HBO/WO (Bachelor/Master) level in IT, Computer Science, or similar
- Experience in application management, DevOps, or software support environments
- Good understanding of software development processes and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with or interest in tools such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar
- Familiarity with infrastructure and environments such as Linux, containers, or cloud/platform tools
- Affinity with security and working in regulated or classified environments, * Strong communication skills, able to support both technical and non-technical users
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in a growing and evolving team environment
- Able to bridge the gap between development teams and IT services, * Fluent in Dutch and English (both required)
- Willing and able to work on-site in the Den Haag area (approx. 4 days per week)
