Are you an Applications Engineer ready to take your career in a new direction? If you enjoy solving real-world design challenges, working closely with customers, and influencing product decisions from concept through to production - this could be your next move. We're looking for a technically strong engineer with a background in passive and board-level electronic components who is keen to step into a customer-facing, commercially focused role. You don't need to be a career salesperson - what matters most is your ability to understand applications, guide component selection, and build trusted relationships with engineers. The Opportunity In this role, you'll act as a technical partner to customers across Northern England, North Wales, and Scotland, supporting them with component selection, design-in activity, and problem-solving across demanding applications. You'll work on projects within sectors such as: Aerospace & Defence Space & Satellite Other harsh or high-reliability environments This is a consultative, solutions-led position - not transactional sales. You'll collaborate with internal specialists and global manufacturers to deliver the right technical and commercial outcomes for your customers. What You'll Be Doing Supporting engineers with component selection and application advice Engaging in design discussions, site visits, and technical reviews Identifying and developing new project opportunities Building long-term relationships with engineering and procurement teams Working closely with internal teams to deliver coordinated support Managing your own regional territory with autonomy What We're Looking For Strong technical knowledge of electronic components (especially passives) Background in electronics engineering, applications engineering, or technical support Ability to communicate confidently with both engineers and buyers Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working remotely Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Experience, Sales Engineer - Electronic Components (North & Midlands, UK) Home / Field Based | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits Are you an experienced Sales Engineer with a background in electronics and a passion for building lasting customer relationships?
