Job description

Delivery Quality & Governance

  • Own the standards for customer deliverables, documentation, and technical outputs across all engagements
  • Provide quality oversight across active portfolios, identifying issues early and intervening proactively
  • Define and maintain delivery standards that clearly articulate "what good looks like"
  • Partner with Delivery Managers and Architects to guide technical execution and delivery quality

Oversight of High-Complexity Engagements

  • Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation point for the most complex and strategically significant engagements

Portfolio Oversight

  • Maintain visibility across all active engagements, including status, risk, resourcing, and forecast alignment
  • Identify and address risks early before they escalate
  • Provide the Head of Professional Services with an accurate, real-time view of outcome health

Practice Development

  • Build and continuously refine the delivery methodology to support consistent, scalable project execution
  • Identify skills gaps within the team and recommend recruitment or development actions
  • Support the progression of Senior Consultants toward Architect level by defining the delivery experience and capabilities required to lead engagements independently

Requirements

The Solutions Architect ensures consistent, high-quality delivery of technical outcomes across the Professional Services function. This role holds technical authority for how engagements are handed over, mobilised, and delivered, enabling the business to forecast accurately, deliver reliably, and scale effectively as Xtravirt grows., * Deep technical expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, and vSAN, with proven hands-on delivery experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, end-to-end technical engagements with successful customer outcomes
  • Experience defining, implementing, or evolving delivery methodologies within a Professional Services environment
  • Ability to lead through influence, operating confidently across teams without direct line management responsibility
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how delivery quality and forecasting impact business performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and review high-quality client-facing documentation
