Job description
I am working with a company in the financial sector who is leveling up their Data and we're looking for a Data Engineer who can design high-quality pipelines, develop robust data models and help shape the next generation of our enterprise data architecture. This is on an initial 6 month contract basis and requires occassional/monthly travel to client site. What you'll work on
- Build and maintain ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Develop modular transformations with dbt
- Model data using Data Vault and Kimball techniques
- Design and optimise our Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps
- Monitor, troubleshoot and improve pipeline performance
- Ensure strong governance, security and GDPR compliance

Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in data engineering
- Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills
- Hands-on Azure experience (ADF, Databricks)
- Experience with dbt and modern ELT patterns
- Solid understanding of Data Vault and dimensional modelling
- Comfortable working in Agile teams
- Detail-driven, collaborative and delivery-focused
