Job description
As our Enterprise Solutions Lead, you will:
- Lead the ongoing development and support of our enterprise application portfolio.
- Oversee application release management, maintenance, database administration, and performance tuning.
- Ensure business continuity and resilience for critical ICT applications.
- Manage technical development projects using Microsoft DevOps.
- Provide 3rd/4th line technical support and manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Translate business needs into innovative technical solutions aligned with Council priorities.
- Maintain robust processes for change control, best practice development, documentation, and application lifecycle management.
- Mentor and support team members to build a culture of collaboration, transparency, and excellence., * Act as a technical subject matter expert on enterprise applications and integration technologies.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain applications at the correct currency, ensuring compliance with ICT strategies and policies.
- Manage risks, support business continuity planning, and maintain service performance within defined SLAs.
- Foster strong internal and external relationships to ensure effective delivery.
- Plan, manage, and deliver technical projects on time and within budget., * A key leadership role shaping Dudley's digital and application landscape.

Requirements
- Managing distributed and web applications, including COTS solutions.
- Strong supplier and stakeholder relationship management.
- Using data, insights, and analytics to influence outcomes.
- Managing projects to time, cost, and quality.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps/CI-CD tools.
- Technical skills in one or more of: PowerShell, ASP/VB.NET, SQL, Oracle.
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of integration approaches and middleware solutions.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and design documentation.
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and complex support models.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong decision-making capability and the ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and high-quality service delivery., * ITIL Foundation (desirable) or equivalent knowledge.
- Demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional development.
