What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in bridging design and manufacturing, ensuring our products are efficient to produce, cost-effective, and built to the highest standards.
- Create and manage detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Apply DFM/DFMA principles to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and cost
- Lead design projects from concept through to production release
- Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
- Collaborate with customers to refine designs and deliver optimal solutions
- Translate technical specifications into robust engineering designs
- Manage drawing revisions, BOMs, and documentation with accuracy and control
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across design and production
- Support the shop floor with hands-on problem solving and technical expertise
- Contribute to planning, timelines, and resource coordination with management
Requirements
Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, * Strong experience in a design/draughting role within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Solid understanding of DFM/DFMA principles
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both customers and shop floor teams
- A proactive approach with a passion for improving processes and outcomes
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- Right to work in the UK

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
