Design for Manufacture Engineer

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in bridging design and manufacturing, ensuring our products are efficient to produce, cost-effective, and built to the highest standards.

• Create and manage detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Apply DFM/DFMA principles to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and cost
• Lead design projects from concept through to production release
• Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
• Collaborate with customers to refine designs and deliver optimal solutions
• Translate technical specifications into robust engineering designs
• Manage drawing revisions, BOMs, and documentation with accuracy and control
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across design and production
• Support the shop floor with hands-on problem solving and technical expertise
• Contribute to planning, timelines, and resource coordination with management

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, * Strong experience in a design/draughting role within a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of DFM/DFMA principles
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with both customers and shop floor teams
• A proactive approach with a passion for improving processes and outcomes
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
