Job description

Are you ready to be at the forefront of reshaping how financial technology drives global commerce? At FIS, we're looking for an innovative Data Scientist to join our Revenue Operations, Office of the CCO team, accelerating our growth by ideating, building, deploying, and scaling AI to transform sales performance and efficiency. In this highly visible role, your innovations will set new benchmarks across the fintech industry, with direct impact on how FIS sells and how our clients experience financial technology.

You'll partner closely with Sales and Business stakeholders to provide actionable insights and develop AI-driven solutions that propel revenue growth-delivering models for lead prioritization, churn prediction, and cross-sell opportunities, and pioneering work in Generative and Agentic AI (e.g., personalized email generation, account intelligence agents, lead nurture agents). You are empowered to take ownership from ideation through to deployment, and trusted to drive initiatives that redefine sales excellence within one of the world's largest fintech businesses.

FIS is committed to your professional development and career growth. In this role, you'll collaborate with industry-leading experts, gain exposure to the latest emerging technologies, and learn at the cutting edge of AI and advanced analytics. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their data science career who is passionate about solving real-world business challenges and eager to learn and grow in an environment that values initiative and innovation.

We're seeking a proactive self-starter who thrives amidst multiple cross-functional stakeholders and varying priorities. If you're excited by the challenge of digging deep to uncover the "why," building impactful solutions, and driving success across the global fintech landscape, FIS invites you to make your mark here.

What you will be doing:

  • Applying expertise in machine learning and data mining to implement analytics solutions that enhance Sales performance
  • Developing and deploy Agentic AI use cases (e.g., account intelligence agents, personalized outreach agents, lead nurture agents)
  • Building predictive models to identify trends, optimize lead prioritization, and measure performance of Sales initiatives
  • Conducting advanced statistical analysis and present findings as clear, actionable recommendations to Sales leaders
  • Creating and maintaining interactive data visualizations (Power BI or equivalent) to communicate insights effectively.
  • Contributing to best practices in MLOps and cloud-based deployment (Azure preferred)
  • Preparing and presenting AI program outcomes and insights to business leadership and executive audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (required)

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Analytics, or related field (preferred)

  • 7 years of experience in data science or analytics (internships, projects, or prior roles)

  • Experience in financial services, banking, or FinTech is a plus

  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and practical applications

  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI or Generative AI model development

  • Proficiency in Python or R, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

  • Familiarity with MLOps pipelines for model automation and deployment

  • Strong skills in data visualization (Power BI preferred) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to simplify complex results for business stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile or fast-paced environments

  • Passion for innovation with a proactive, can-do attitude

  • Team player with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
