Job description
We're looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to play a key role in scaling and strengthening their Agile delivery capability within a growing data organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a newly formed Agile Release Train (ART), created as part of the expansion of an existing data function. You'll be at the heart of driving coordination, alignment, and delivery excellence across multiple Agile teams.
The Role
You will lead one of our Data Agile Release Trains, working across multiple Scrum teams delivering initiatives such as:
- Core data platforms and repositories
- New data collection capabilities
- Enhancements to data usage and accessibility
- Data transformation programmes
What you will be doing:
- Lead and facilitate Programme Increment (PI) Planning
- Coordinate delivery across multiple Agile Scrum teams
- Drive adoption of Agile best practices and SAFe principles
- Coach Scrum Masters and teams to improve Agile maturity
- Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments
- Produce and track Agile delivery metrics and MI
- Facilitate ART ceremonies (ART Syncs, Retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt)
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Management, and Data Leadership

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE)
- Strong knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Hands-on experience facilitating PI Planning
- Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams
- Coaching Scrum Masters and Agile teams
- Strong experience with Agile metrics and reporting
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
- Experience working with data platforms or data teams
