Software Engineer

• Design, build, and enhance middle office systems supporting:
• Trade booking and lifecycle management
• Fund accounting workflows (including NAV calculations)
• Investor and client reporting platforms
• Develop scalable, robust solutions using Java and SQL across a distributed, client-server architecture
• Work closely with business teams (operations, finance, client services) to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to reengineering and modernisation of legacy systems, improving performance, scalability, and resilience
• Take ownership of production systems, including:
• Investigating and resolving issues
• Improving monitoring, logging, and reliability
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to CI/CD and release processes
• Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and technical planning
• Support continuous improvement of tooling, processes, and system performance, * Exposure to business-critical systems with direct impact on operations and scalability
• Strong balance of engineering, ownership, and business engagement
• Collaborative, high-calibre environment with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation

• Strong Java development experience
• Solid SQL/database knowledge (e.g. SQL Server, Snowflake or similar)
• Good understanding of client-server and distributed system architectures
• Proven ability to deliver impact beyond BAU (e.g. system improvements, reengineering, automation)
• Comfortable working across both development and production environments

Preferred Experience:

• Experience within middle office domains (trade processing, fund accounting, investor reporting)
• Background in asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking
• Exposure to front-end technologies (e.g. TypeScript, or web-based UIs)
• Familiarity with reporting tools
