AI Engineer

A London-based investment firm is looking for an AI Engineer to help design and build an intelligent automation platform that transforms manual operational workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable systems that automate complex reporting and reconciliation processes using modern data engineering, automation, and AI techniques.

Working within a data-focused technology team, you'll collaborate with operational stakeholders to turn complex real-world processes into robust, production-grade systems.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build an Platform from scratch for reporting & intelligent automation
• Develop systems for data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation
• Implement automation with appropriate exception handling and oversight
• Integrate data across multiple systems and structured data sources

• Strong experience with Python and SQL
• Agentic AI experience with internal facing users
• Experience in front-end technology (FAST API, CSS, HTML)
• Experience building data pipelines, automation systems, or workflow platforms
• Experience integrating systems via APIs and data feeds
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and production system development

Bonus: Experience with financial operations, workflow orchestration tools, or internal dashboards.
