Platform Engineer

Join Axpo as a Platform Engineer and play a key role in evolving and operating the core of our data platform on Azure and Databricks. Help us build a reliable, scalable, and observable platform that empowers teams across the organization to work efficiently. What you will do: Design, build, and improve core platform capabilities with a focus on reliability, scalability, and observability Implement and evolve centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting across the platform Manage networking and connectivity (e.g., Azure VNet, private endpoints, hybrid setups) Design and optimize storage solutions for performance, cost, and durability Drive automation and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform Ensure platform stability through structured operations and incident handling Collaborate with software engineers and teams to deliver a robust and user-friendly platform Align with architects, security, and other platform teams to maintain a secure and stable environment, We are a collaborative and forward-thinking team, passionate about leveraging data to drive innovation and business success. Do you have experience in Terraform?, 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, system engineering, or a similar field Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design principles Experience with observability and monitoring tools (metrics, logging, tracing) Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform Strong engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, and automation Ability to work independently on complex topics with limited guidance Team-oriented, proactive, and ownership-driven mindset Fluent in English
